The Leeds Warrior has explained how a boxing injury robbed him of bread and butter pudding...

This morning (12th October), Chris Moyles was joined by The Leeds Warrior, Josh Warrington.

The two-time world featherweight boxing champion earned his second title in March this year, when he beat Kiko Martinez in March - but he did so with a broken jaw!

Thankfully, it's on the mend, as Josh told Chris. "It's getting there, I've just started sparring. But when I broke it, it was tough."

Josh had set his mind on a special treat for after the match - bread and butter pudding! He explained: "I just have urges - it could be kebab, it could be fish and chips. This time round it was bread and butter pudding!

"I thought, I'll sit myself down with a cup of tea and bread and butter pudding. Obviously I wasn't allowed to eat anything for three weeks."

The surgeon gave Josh some very good advice.

"He said listen, Josh. Grab an apple. Can you squeeze through an apple with your hand? I said no. He said, but you can bite through an apple can't you? He said, there you go! The jaw creates a couple of hundred pounds of pressure. If that jaw goes together and that plate in your jaw snaps, then your jaw's gone! I looked at him absolutely petrified!"

Thankfully, Josh's wife Natasha bought him a blender - a machine that could pretty much blend anything, unfortunately.

"I was on liquids for about three weeks," he explained. "Chicken and broccoli watered down is as bad as it sounds. In a cup!"
